Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by the soCookit team to explain what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account info you give us: email, username, display name, optional avatar and bio.
- Content you post: recipes, photos, ingredients, steps, likes.
- Purchase info: when you unlock a paid recipe, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details — we never see them. We do see the amount, recipe, and a transaction reference.
- Basic technical data: IP address, browser type, and page views, used to keep the service running and fight abuse.
How we use it
To run the service, show you the right content, process payouts, keep accounts secure, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
Who we share it with
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage.
- Stripe — payments and payouts.
- Lovable — hosting and deployment infrastructure.
Your rights
You can update your profile, delete recipes, or request account deletion at any time. EU/UK users have additional rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection). Contact us to exercise them.
Cookies
We use cookies and local storage for authentication and to remember your preferences. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
Data retention
We keep your data as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and recipes within 30 days; some records (e.g., payment transactions) are kept longer for legal and accounting reasons.
